Perris Union High School District

The Perris High School Modernization – Completion Phase project was focused on completing the campus’ master plan and fulfilling the school’s remaining educational program needs. PJHM worked closely with key stakeholders from Perris Union High School District to ensure the vision and goals of the community were achieved. Because of this collaboration, nearly every new structure incorporates some type of shared space where the school can facilitate community engagement activities.

Aquatic Center and Athletics

Perris High School athletics programs gained a variety of new venues to facilitate spirited activities on campus. This included a new Aquatic Center featuring a 33-meter Class A competition pool for competitive swimming and water polo, pool deck with secure storage, grandstands, competition lighting and a 5,800 square foot pool house building.

In addition, the campus gained six new CIF tournament-level tennis courts and a multipurpose building which can accommodate various functions from cheer practice to storage space.

Performing Arts and CTE

The new Visual and Performing Arts building invites community members to share in the creative inspiration of music and the arts. It features a black box theater, 500-seat multi-use house and stage, prop rooms and a dance studio.

The agricultural curricula also received an upgrade with a state-of-the-art mechanics lab with equipment including a bridge crane for conveying and hoisting. Space for classes such as Introduction to Welding, Fabrication and Manufacturing extends practical career technical education to the campus. PJHM is proud to add on to its existing contribution to CTE programming with its previous design of the Perris High School Agricultural Center of Excellence.

Administrative and Student Union

The administration building establishes a new single point of entry for the campus, strengthening security by centralizing the flow of traffic. The new administrative and counseling offices help transform the school by updating outdated spaces to improve important student services. The building also features a dedicated parent engagement center where staff can facilitate PTA and other community meetings, visitors can take advantage of free WIFI and utilize professional services hosted by the school. In addition, the new student union provides a haven for students to study and socialize in an open environment.
