Under construction at Sunny Hills High School is a new 45-meter pool and aquatics facility. The original, decades-old, 25 yards long, “L-Shaped” pool had served its purpose and was in need of replacement. Along with the construction of the new 45-meter pool, the project includes new concrete decking with ample shade, upgraded restroom facilities, a new pool equipment building, additional ample outdoor storage, two diving boards, competition quality lighting and lane/lap timing systems with an integrated scoreboard.
The new 45-meter pool features state of the art filtration/sanitation systems, increase heating and energy savings as the heating system has been designed to integrate with the school’s existing co-generation plant. The pool will be completed in January 2017.
