Last weekend, our friends at Perris Union High School District won the People’s Choice Award for the seventh time at the 10th Annual MVCC Celebrity Karaoke. The PUHSD All-Stars not only won, but raised over $7,000 for the Menifee Valley Community Cupboard, a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization dedicated to alleviating hunger and malnutrition in the Menifee Valley.
The PUHSD All-Stars worked tirelessly last week to perfect the hit “Summer Nights” from Grease. Practicing every afternoon at Perris High School under the guidance of PHS dance teacher Katheryn Perez was the All-Star troupe, headed up by Superintendent Jonathan L. Greenberg, Ed.D. as Danny Zucko and Executive Director of Human Resources, Tonya Davis, as Sandy Olsson.The rest of the team included Paloma Valley High School Assistant Principal Jennifer Thomasian, Perris High School Assistant Principal Adriana Lepe-Ramirez, Paloma Valley High School Principal Don Williamson, and Heritage High School Assistant Principal Bill Cloo.
