High School Stadium Design

PJHM Architects High School Stadium Design

Football games are an essential part of the high school experience. There is nothing quite like the thrill in the air on Friday nights—everyone dressed in school colors and cheering on the team with all of their friends, hoping to enjoy the feeling of victory after a big win. High school football, and all high school sports, create camaraderie. It can even be where pro players get their start. This is why PHJM Architects take pride in high school stadium design for its clients, and why our high school stadium designs are cutting edge, with the latest materials in order to help continue the traditions of high school sports throughout California.

The Huntington Beach High School Stadium Modernization involved updating and restoring the 83 year-old, 32 acre site through comprehensive planning and phasing. The goal of this project was to modernize while respecting the building’s history, character and landmark prominence for both the school and the community. The high school stadium design included the replacement of the existing natural grass with synthetic turf and providing a new synthetic track surface. The Building E Modernization involved the complete renovation of the concrete bleacher building that houses team rooms, offices, rest rooms, and storage.

Fallbrook Union High School District

The existing campus serves as the “anchor” of the Fallbrook Union High School District. The rich traditions and extensive educational programs that exist help to make the campus an integral and essential public facility within the greater Fallbrook area. The high school is perceived to be a place of importance to the community and this new high school stadium design offers a great range of opportunities for active and passive participation by students and community members. The project included a new artificial turf sports field, a new synthetic track, new home bleachers that can seat up to 3,400 people, renovated visitor bleachers, new field lighting and renovated restrooms.
