2013 Bike (or Skate) To Work Day

As you may know, today is a Bike to Work Day, and a few PJHMers took the opportunity to ride our bikes (or skateboard) to work.  It was nice to get out this morning, get a little exercise and reduce our environmental  impact, even if it is only for the day.  Hopefully this will encourage us to use public transportation or pedal power more throughout the year.

Dan our resident biker took the short trip from his home in Irvine 12 miles to our Laguna Hills office.  And I say ‘short trip’ because this man is a seasoned road racer with many many miles on his bike.  He was able to take a few pics to share along the way.

Paul was also adventurous enough to bike to work this morning, and he shared some pictures of his commute from his Mission Viejo home six miles to our the office.

I skated from home to the Carlsbad Village train station and rode the Coaster to the Oceanside.  From there it was just a few short blocks to our Oceanside office on Pier View Way.  And having a litte extra time this morning I decided to go view the pier, then stop by the Bike to Work pit stop at Oceanside’s City Hall and into the office.
