Of the diverse array of educational project types and scopes we develop at PJHM Architects, few actually require interim facilities. In the event that we are selected for a school project that requires interim facilities, our approach has and continues to be developing an extensive, three-dimensional model of the campus that clearly presents all phasing and interim housing strategies. PJHM’s school experience tells us district staff personnel sometimes do not fully understand two-dimensional plans. A “virtual” model of their school allows for clear and comprehensive vision / understanding. Planning and campus utilization issues are quickly identified and resolved, especially regarding the complexities of interim housing needs.
Here is an example of a PJHM virtual model currently being utilized on a multifaceted, complex, four-phase middle school modernization for the Perris Union High School District. Modular classrooms are being utilized for interim housing.
